OnboardPoint support
Help with deploying OnboardPoint, the set-up wizard, the evaluation, Microsoft Teams and the pre-start portal, and how to reach us.
Contact support
Email info@apps365ltd.com with your organisation's name, the address of your OnboardPoint site and what you were doing. Please do not send starters' personal details.
We reply on UK working days, usually within one. Tenant Plus includes priority support.
Set-up in short
- A SharePoint administrator deploys the package to an app catalog.
- A site owner adds OnboardPoint to a page on the onboarding site and runs set-up.
- HR adds people to the site's Members group; OnboardPoint's role groups cover the rest.
- Add the Teams tab for HR and managers, and the personal app for starters.
Common questions
Who can run set-up?
A site owner of the SharePoint site you chose for onboarding. The first time they open OnboardPoint, the set-up wizard creates the lists, the documents library, the role groups and their permissions. Running it again changes nothing.
Does OnboardPoint need Microsoft Graph permissions?
No, not to start. The optional Notify tier asks for delegated User.Read.All and Mail.Send, which an administrator approves in the SharePoint admin center. OnboardPoint checks at run time what is granted and says what each permission adds.
How does the 14-day evaluation work?
It starts when set-up finishes and covers every feature, with no key. When it ends without a licence key, records and evidence stay readable and leavers' access closure tasks can still be completed; new journeys pause until a key is added.
How do starters open OnboardPoint in Microsoft Teams?
Through the OnboardPoint personal app. A Teams administrator can make it available, or pin it for new starters, from the Teams admin center.
Why can a starter not see the pre-start portal?
The portal is part of the optional Connected tier, which is coming soon. When it is on, HR sends each starter a private link from their own mailbox. A link works once and expires; if a starter stops part way, HR sends a new one and what was already sent is kept.
How do we stop the pre-start portal straight away?
A site owner of the portal site sets the kill-switch row of the OnboardPoint Portal Settings list to "on". The portal stops reading and writing your tenant within a minute.
