14-day evaluation, no key

Deploy OnboardPoint and evaluate every feature

OnboardPoint needs no extra Microsoft 365 permissions to start. A SharePoint administrator deploys the package, a site owner runs set-up, and the evaluation starts.

  1. Get the package

OnboardPoint is coming soon on Microsoft Marketplace. Until it is listed, contact us about early access.

  2. Add it to your app catalog

A SharePoint administrator adds OnboardPoint to the tenant app catalog, or to a site collection app catalog, and deploys it. Nothing needs approving to start. The optional Notify permissions (User.Read.All and Mail.Send) appear as requests in the SharePoint admin center; approving them is your choice and can wait.

  3. Choose the onboarding site

Pick or create a SharePoint site for onboarding and add the OnboardPoint web part to a page, or open it as a full-page app. HR is the site's Members group; OnboardPoint adds its own role groups for staff, restricted readers and starters.

  4. Run set-up

The first time a site owner opens OnboardPoint, the set-up wizard creates the lists with their indexes, the documents library, the role groups and their permissions, and the starter pack you choose: UK employer, school or trust, charity with volunteers, or AI agents. Running it again changes nothing.

  5. Add it to Microsoft Teams

Add OnboardPoint as a tab in a team channel for HR and managers. New starters use the Teams personal app, which a Teams administrator can make available from the Teams admin center.

  6. Evaluate for 14 days

Every new OnboardPoint site includes a 14-day evaluation of every feature, with no key, counted from set-up. When it ends without a licence key, records and evidence stay readable and leavers' access closure tasks can still be completed; new journeys pause until a key is added. Trial keys also last 14 days, with at most three per organisation in any 90 days.

Optional, later

Notify adds people pickers with job titles, the manager chain and one daily digest per owner, sent as the HR coordinator. It needs an administrator to approve delegated User.Read.All and Mail.Send.

Connected (coming soon) adds the pre-start portal. Your administrator approves the OnboardPoint Portal Service app and grants it five lists on a small dedicated portal site, one by one. How the portal works
